We were nervous to leave him at a big, impersonal kennel all the way in Houston while we traveled the Tennessee region, and I remembered The Uptown Hound used by a friend who lives there in Cleveland. The clean and pretty facility is located on a big, beautiful country property on the outskirts of town that offers tons of space and cool experiences for your dog.

Much thanks to Tyler for putting us on a waiting list and then getting our cockapoo, Chowder in over the busy Memorial Day travel week. He covered everything so we knew what to expect and what they would need (shot records, food, Chowder’s ear meds, etc) to make this a perfect experience.

Over the years we have boarded our pets at different facilities in places we have lived in Maryland and now in Tennessee. We were fortunate to find The Uptown Hound about 8 years ago and we have used them ever since for boarding, as well as their day adventure camp to keep our dogs (formerly Buddy and now our Trixie) socialized and happy when we are not able to physically exercise them due to temporary circumstances.

Love this place! Great facilities. Owner and staff are customer and pet focused. Checked in our two beagles, both rescues, for a week. Came home happy and smelling great! We’ll be back. Susie and Hank say “Thanks!” for the great time.

I have an Australian shepherd today was his first day. But we’ve known Ms Callie a several years and that she’s amazing with animals. So ofcourse London had a blast playing with new friends. I highly recommend you trying The Uptown Hound and then getting some amazing food and treats from Uptown Dog!

Oreo and Angus love the time they spend at Uptown Hound Enrichment Day Camp. They learn social skills, and play nice skills, and just have fun. Here they are relaxing after a hard day of learning and play. They also love their staycations at the resort. The Uptown is the only place I feel comfortable leaving my furbabies.

I have had such a great experience with The Uptown Hound! My Paisley loves going to Doggie Day Camp. She loves all the fun activities and running around with her friends! Great lodging set up, perfect for you babies while you are gone on vacation! They interact with them and really make sure they feel like they are at home, while they are missing you! Go check them out, you won’t regret it!

The Uptown Hound is the place to board your dog!! The staff is super friendly always polite when on the phone and in person! Their property and facility is amazing! They take the absolute best care of the animals and spoil them like they are their own pets! 10 out of 10 would recommend!
